We get so caught up in the frantic, frenetic, frenzied, and feverish pace of everyday life that we often do not realize the stress which we are experiencing — especially when we travel. A turtle in Mississippi reminded me that sometimes we need to stop, take a moment to relax, and enjoy the simple things in life.

Just seeing the turtle on that fallen branch in the calm waters of a small lake momentarily melted away the things that were on my mind. The lake itself was quite serene as well. I did not expect to see the turtle.
