In past articles in which your participation was not only requested but also helpful and humorous, I did not give the answers to questions which I have posed to you; so this article contains the answers to past articles — Part 50 — along with links to the aforementioned articles…

What is Wrong With This Photograph? Part 246
IHG Hotels & Resorts offers deals in exchange for participating in a presentation that is designed to sell timeshares to potential customers. One recent offer was a vacation for three nights whose cost started at $199.00 at a choice of one of eight destinations. In return, the participant can earn 50,000 IHG One Rewards points. Judging from the misspelling of Galveston to Gavelston, the ball was in your court to guess what was wrong with this screen shot.
Favorite answer by gary: “Gavelston? do they have a judge hit you over the head with a gavel when you get into town?”
Favorite comment by Thomas Richard Potter.: “My problem is with the cookies agreement. By closing this message or continuing to browse the site you agree. What’s next? ‘By leaving this site you also agree’?”
What is Wrong With This Photograph? Part 247
Here we go again: the advent of tablets, mobile telephones, and other portable electronic devices have generally rendered wake-up calls from the front desk in hotel and resort properties and alarm clocks which are found in rooms useless — and perhaps the time has arrived where that may be a good thing, as indicated by one particular digital alarm clock which I found recently in a hotel room shortly after checking in to the hotel property: does anybody really know what time it is?
Favorite answer and comment by Jim F.: “What’s the problem? We know it’s less than 10 minutes past 3, 7, 8 or 9pm. That should be close enough; you’re on vacation!”

I have never dined at either Ponderosa Steakhouse or Bonanza Steakhouse; but I remember that each restaurant brand seemed to have many locations throughout the United States. I am not sure about their steaks; but times have definitely been tough for both of them for various reasons. They are now a part of one company which could be referred to as Pon-Bon — get it? — so I was curious as to which locations still exist and are currently in business…
…but how is anyone supposed to tell when the locations are not only incorrect; but the locations also keep switching? Is Lebanon in Virginia actually in southwestern North Carolina or in extreme northeastern Tennessee?
Good luck finding the location in Lebanon in Virginia.
Favorite answer by derek: “When throwing darts to Virginia, they missed.”
Favorite comment by rmah: “tenn out of tenn is the chance that tenn is not va!”

I recently boarded the Boeing 737-800 aircraft that was operated by Delta Air Lines; and I sat comfortably at the window seat in the second row of the first class cabin prior to departure…
…but why are the overhead storage bins in the first class cabin reserved for passengers who are seated in the Comfort+ section, which is one step above economy class?
Favorite answer by ffi: “First Class seats with luggage space for Comfort +
“?”
Favorite comment by Marshall Jackson: “I was convinced this was going to be the small bag up top, and I was going to point out that it could very well belong to the person in row 1 who has no underseat storage. Then I put my readers on and blew up the pic a little. ”
What is Wrong With This Photograph? Part 250
I parked the rental car in the parking garage of Hilton Cairns in Australia. I took at least three photographs of one spot which I walked past on my way to the entrance of the hotel property.
Parking spot number 104 barely has enough room to fit a bicycle — let alone a motor vehicle.
Favorite answer by Jim F.: “1. What parks in space 104? Motorcycle? Or is the pole for securing bikes?
“2. I’m assuming the sheet in the window is to reduce heat from the sun…but is it needed in a parking garage? The manner of stretching the sheet taut is…creative.
“3. What’s with the unreadable license plate? Or did the sun bleach out the numbers?”
Favorite comment by derek: “All good answers by Jim F.
“Additional things wrong include:
“1. The door is closed on the sheet. The window tacking down the sheet is reasonable but the door closed over it is sloppy.
“2. The front tires are turned at an angle, putting unnecessary stress on the suspension and tires. The wheels should be aligned straight ahead.”
