…but you must purchase your ticket and book your reservation — although no end date is specified as to the last day when you can redeem your SkyMiles for award travel. Award seats are limited and may not be available on all flights or in all markets.
One example is that you can travel between Seattle and Las Vegas round trip for only 5,000 SkyMiles plus almost $12.00 in taxes and fees — but that is for a Basic Economy ticket, which carries some onerous restrictions. That same round trip is available for 10,000 SkyMiles if you want to avoid Basic Economy.
Additionally, you can travel to Asia for as low as 32,000 SkyMiles round trip plus $40.00 in taxes and fees — such as from Seattle to Taipei on a Basic Economy ticket. That same round trip is available for 52,000 SkyMiles if you want to avoid Basic Economy.
You can also travel to Australia for as low as 66,000 SkyMiles round trip plus $117.00 in taxes and fees — such as from Los Angeles to Brisbane on a Basic Economy ticket. That same round trip is available for 80,000 SkyMiles if you want to avoid Basic Economy.
