Reservations at 37 citizenM hotel properties in at least 20 cities in the United States, Europe, and Asia can now be booked through the official channels of Marriott International, Incorporated.
citizenM Hotels Can Now Be Booked Through Official Marriott Channels
The acquisition of the citizenM brand was completed by Marriott International, Incorporated on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 and is now one of at least 38 brands of the multinational lodging company that participate in the Marriott Bonvoy membership program. Two additional hotel properties in the current pipeline of citizenM will bring the grand total of rooms for the brand to greater than 9,000 rooms.

The citizenM brand — which was founded in 2008 — is known for its genuine service, tech-savvy in-hotel experience, highly efficient use of space, and focus on art and design. It caters to a growing demographic of value-conscious travelers looking for technology-driven accommodations with features like smart in-room design, indoor and outdoor common spaces featuring immersive artwork and local artifacts, comfortably appointed living rooms that serve as collaborative workspaces, creative meeting rooms, grab-and-go food and beverage options, and lively rooftop decks.
Marriott International, Incorporated announced on Monday, April 28, 2025 that it will pay $355 million to acquire the brand and related intellectual property.

Members will earn ten Marriott Bonvoy points per one United States dollar spent; and one Elite Night Credit per qualifying night.
Final Boarding Call
I have never stayed at a citizenM hotel property; but the concept seems to remind me somewhat of Moxy hotel properties, at which I have stayed — but I understand that citizenM hotel properties are supposedly nicer overall and more expensive than Moxy; but with smaller rooms.
