People flock to Arches National Park in Utah to see the geological formations that have been sculpted by wind, rain, and other natural forces over the centuries — but a crow in Arches National Park strangely caught my attention.
Crow in Arches National Park. Sunday Morning Photograph.
The crow was just perched on a fence post staring at me in a weird way — as if to say, “Hey…you. Yeah — you. C’mere.”
This bird then seemingly struck a pose when I moved closer to it.
Undaunted, the crow then slowly turned its head with each click of my camera…
…and then the black bird stared at me again…
…and then the head of the crow started turning in the opposite direction…
…until I was able to photograph the other profile of this fowl ham.
The head of the crow then quickly turned back, with an expression that seemed to emulate “So…how was that?!?”
Final Boarding Call
That likely rates as my most bizarre encounter with a crow. I winged the photography modeling session; but it was over. I then went on to enjoy Arches National Park.
