Election Day 2024. Vote Wisely. The World is Watching.

You can potentially decide the future path of the United States.

Election Day 2024 in the United States is tomorrow, Tuesday, November 5, 2024; and the next president will be elected. If you reside in the United States and are a registered voter, vote wisely, as the world is watching.

As one of numerous examples of how the world is literally watching how people in the United States will vote, flat screen televisions in the SAS Gold Lounge at Oslo Gardermoen Airport were airing continuous coverage and reporting by members of the media at TV 2 AS in Norway on the election process in the United States in 2024. They were even predicting who would win the election state by state. Are people around the world that versed on specific states in the United States?

Other media outlets in other countries that I have visited this year have broadcast similar coverage pertaining to the election.

The media worldwide seems to be fascinated by the presidential election this year. I thought I would escape the mania by traveling outside of the United States — but electronic devices and publications render doing so virtually impossible. The example of the SAS Gold Lounge at Oslo Gardermoen Airport was earlier today, Monday, November 4, 2024.

Remember that when you travel, you are unofficially representing your country.

I had already cast my vote prior to travel. Ensure that you vote, as the process is critically important to maintaining a democratic republic — or, at least, some semblance of one…

…and do not listen to all of those influential people who are trying to tell you for whom to vote. Vote wisely for the person who you believe will help the United States improve in the proper direction for the future.

  1. Nice article. I voted last week. Of the two most visible votes here, one of my votes could make a difference in my State, one is unlikely to.

  2. My vote for President doesn’t count because of the state I live in.

One local race has a judge running unopposed. As a result, I voted for a write in candidate, Brian Cohen (from The Gate with Brian Cohen)!

    1. Wow! I appreciate that, derek! You made my day!

Wouldn’t my actually winning that election and becoming a judge be funny?

      1. But then there may be litigation about which Brian Cohen won the write-in election. Then the win goes to the Brian Cohen who lawyered up.

  3. Yes go vote, it matters.

Other countries are amazed that we allow mail-in voting as most do not allow it due to concerns over fraud and the appearance of fraud which can be destablizing.

Oh and the USA is technically a constitutional federal republic, not a democracy or democratic republic. It may seem minor but just to be accurate.

Thanks for voting and safe travels.

    1. Mail in voting encourages domestic abuse. That is when a bully husband or bully wife forces their spouse to vote their way. There is no recourse. There should not be mail in voting. There should be two days of in-person voting ideally.

      1. That is like saying voting encourages domestic abuse, but ridiculous excuses to try to ban mail-in or other voting by US citizens in America is par for the course.

Amusingly, Trump the felon manages to get to vote in Florida because New York allows felons in New Yorks to vote as long as they are not incarcerated. If Trump the felon was convicted of similar felony charges in Florida, then likely he would be barred from voting unless and until he paid off his penalties — which in his case would probably mean the conman-in-chief soliciting donors/marks to pay his penalties and hope that there is a certification process to note the penalty has been paid in full.

  4. The countries with the worst voting fraud in the world are those where mail-in voting and early voting is generally not available to voters within such country and where super-corrupt politicians — and Trump is just that — are major political party figures.

This US election is much more closely watched in Europe than is typical. Whether they publicly admit it or not, most of the Europeans paying attention to international matters know Trump is the crazy wild card in geopolitics of relevance to the Europeans, and the continental Nordic Council countries have long been worried about Russia — only more so with Trump’s willingness to let Russia eat Ukrainian territory, Trump’s Putin fetish and Trump’s questionable commitment to NATO.

  5. The US is a democratic federal republic. It’s constitutional, but less so when Trump is in charge — as we saw in the run up to the mob-led coup that Trump wanted to pull off on January 6th, 2021 with its “Hang Mike Pence” mantra and other electoral college interference attempts.
