O ctober is known as Breast Cancer Awareness month; and BoardingArea will donate 50 cents to causes related to cancer — up to a total donation of $10,000.00 — for every photograph of yourself or of a gate at the airport posted to Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #flyforpink through Monday, October 31, 2016.
You may post more than one photograph of yourself or of the gate at which you are expected to board the airplane for your flight — although I promise not to snitch on you if you decide to take a picture of any random gate at the airport — and ensure that the gate number is clearly the subject of your photograph.
List of Beneficiaries
The list of beneficiaries of the #flyforpink campaign include the 2016 Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign of Estée Lauder Companies — which is global — and the twelve founding partners of the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month:

A Video Message From Randy Petersen
Although this video message from Randy Petersen — who is the founder of BoardingArea — was created for the first year of the #FLYFORPINK initiative in 2014, what he says basically still applies today…
…other than Milepoint, which is now the forum portion of InsideFlyer:
Summary
Imagine that: you can be helping a good cause for something you already do — and at no cost to you; although you are encouraged to contribute your own donation. All it takes is a moment of your time to help reach the goal of posting 20,000 self portraits or gates at airports by Monday, October 31, 2016.
For best results, ensure that your fellow travelers are not included in whatever photograph you take unless you specifically have their permission or unless they cannot be recognized. To avoid a boring effect, you can even summon your creative inner self and use filters — either with your camera or image manipulation software application program — with which you can play for a different kind of photograph. The possibilities are endless.
Please fly for pink today. We would be tickled pink if breast cancer — and, in fact, all types of cancer — were eradicated as soon as possible…
…and if you do decide to take and post a photograph of yourself in an airport or sitting in your seat aboard an airplane, you should be clearly seen in it — and please smile…
