Hilton has partnered with Travel and Transport, Incorporated — which is the fifth largest travel management company in the United States — to seamlessly integrate mobile software application programs designed to streamline the business travel experience for clients of Travel and Transport in what is being called a first in the hotel industry.
Hilton Partners With Travel and Transport on Integration of Mobile Software Application Programs
With this new update, clients of Travel and Transport can click their reservation with Hilton in the Dash Mobile software application program; and they will be brought directly to the Hilton Honors mobile software application program without having to toggle between functions.
This simplified navigation process not only provides seamless access to details such as the location of the hotel or the time to check into the hotel; but it also becomes easier to take advantage of features of the Hilton Honors mobile software application program — such as the ability to choose a room and access Digital Key at greater than 1,700 hotel and resort properties — and travelers can also use the mobile software application program once travel has been completed to view previous trips and invoices, which can be directly exported into their expense management tool.
Clients of Travel and Transport can download the Dash Mobile software application program today from the Apple Store or Google Play and start using this new feature. You can also download the Hilton Honors mobile software application program to book a reservation for your next stay; as well as enroll in the Hilton Honors frequent guest loyalty program to receive points.
Future updates are being planned — including, for example, the ability for travelers to easily view what is needed to attain their next level of Hilton Honors elite level status.
Travel and Transport, Incorporated — which is a full service travel management company that is headquartered in Omaha and has partnered with Hilton for many years — offers innovative corporate travel solutions and expertise in planning unforgettable vacations and unique experiences for its partners.
Summary
A central mobile software application program puts more features in one place, which could translate into a streamlined business travel experience that saves time and is less stressful; but the potential downside is that many features are integrated into one place could result in an experience which is more difficult and complex to use.
I am not saying that that is necessarily the case with this specific software, as I have not personally tried the integrated mobile software application program — but it does seem to have significant promise and potential to save time, effort and even money for frequent travelers.
