Law Enforcement Officers Removed Two Passengers From Airplane In Port Vila March 24 2025
The Airbus A320-200 airplane operated as Jetstar Airways flight 124 from Port Vila in Vanuatu to Sydney in Australia and was scheduled to leave the gate at 3:15 in the afternoon Vanuatu Standard Time.
The law enforcement officer spoke to one of the passengers who was ultimately ejected off of the aircraft for being “non-compliant”.
The names of two passengers were announced over the public address system of the airplane prior to the incident.
One of the two “non-compliant” passengers reached up into the overhead storage compartment to collect his belongings.
A tense communication exchange between one of the passengers and the law enforcement officer ensued prior to both passengers being escorted off of the airplane.
The pilot of the aircraft announced numerous times that the flight was delayed because the police had to be called in order to get the “non-compliant” passengers off of the airplane and that those passengers “will fly another day.”
Final Boarding Call
The baggage of the passengers had to be unloaded from the hold prior to departure.
The airplane finally departed at 3:39 in the afternoon Vanuatu Standard Time. No explanation was given as to the reasons why the unidentified passengers were forcibly removed from the aircraft at the time this article was written; but the pilot kept apologizing as he reiterated that the safety of the passengers aboard the airplane was far more important than departing on time.
