If you are a member of Marriott Rewards who plans on staying at a hotel or resort property which is part of the portfolio of 29 brands of Marriott International, Incorporated and you want to know whether or not you can access the executive lounge during a weekend day, you may want to refer to this comprehensive master list of executive lounges which are open or closed during weekends which was posted on FlyerTalk.
Master List of Executive Lounges Open or Closed During Weekends Worldwide of Marriott Properties
Thankfully compiled by FlyerTalk member SkiAdcock — who graciously contacted me — this new master list replaces three other discussions which have now become obsolete since the Starwood Preferred Guest and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards frequent guest loyalty programs have been combined into Marriott Rewards.
In addition to the status of the executive lounge or a particular hotel or resort property pertaining to whether it is open or closed during a weekend, other information is offered — including but not limited to:
- Upcharges from the standard experience, if applicable
- If full breakfast in the hotel restaurant is an option
- Continental breakfast versus full breakfast — or other variations thereof
- Redemptions of coupons, if applicable
- Earning of Marriott Rewards points if the executive lounge is closed
- Accessible with hotel room key if the executive lounge is closed but still offers snacks and beverages
Information for Platinum Elite Members and Higher
If you are a member of Marriott Rewards who has earned Platinum Elite or a higher level of elite status, you can refer to this detailed information as to the six categories for what you can expect in terms of your experience at breakfast in a hotel or resort property which participates in the Marriott Rewards frequent guest loyalty program.
The six categories — which encompass the portfolio of all 29 brands of Marriott International, Incorporated — are as follows:
- Breakfast for you plus one guest in the executive lounge. If the hotel property does not have an executive lounge or the executive lounge is closed, you can choose 750 Marriott Rewards points OR breakfast for you and your guest. A limited number of hotel properties provide 1,000 Marriott Rewards points for each day the executive lounge is closed instead of a choice. Any of these benefits are in addition to the Platinum Elite welcome gift.
- Breakfast in the hotel restaurant for you plus one guest as a Platinum Elite welcome gift option — not in addition to it.
- Breakfast in the executive lounge for you plus one guest, if the hotel property has an executive lounge — which is in addition to the Platinum Elite welcome gift, which could be breakfast for you plus one guest in the restaurant. No alternative benefit if the executive lounge is closed.
- Daily credit of ten dollars for food and beverages for you plus one guest as a Platinum Elite welcome gift option — not in addition to it — which can be applied toward breakfast or toward other food and beverage purchase in the hotel restaurant or bar.
- Breakfast for all guests included in room rate — regardless of elite level status or membership
- No complimentary daily breakfast — even for Marriott Rewards members who have earned Platinum Elite level status.
Summary
This comprehensive list is a work in progress and is intended to be a collaborative effort in order to maintain the list and keep the information as accurate as possible; so if any information needs to be added, edited or corrected, you are invited to please post the updated information accordingly to the comprehensive master list.
