Meet a Few BoardingArea Bloggers in the Atlanta Area: Would You Be Interested?

A dam of Point Me To The Plane — who is based in the Atlanta area, as am I — has been communicating with me via e-mail messages recently; and one of the topics we discussed is the possibility of loosely organizing an informal meeting where you can meet with both of us.

Meet a Few BoardingArea Bloggers in the Atlanta Area: Would You Be Interested?

Marshall Jackson of MJ on Travel is also based in the Atlanta area; and although he knows nothing about this idea — at least, until now if he reads this article — perhaps I can convince him to join us if there is interest by you in creating and scheduling an informal gathering.

We might even include a small outing — such as visiting Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park; or the Dawson Wildlife Management Area, as the city of Atlanta owns approximately 10,000 acres of land in Dawson County in the state of Georgia. The photograph of the mountains in northern Georgia shown at the top of this article is but one example of the beautiful scenery you will find in Dawson County in the fall.

Of course, BoardingArea bloggers who are not based in the Atlanta area are welcome to join us, if this concept comes to fruition.

Summary — or, More Appropriately — Your Thoughts

As this idea is in its earliest of stages, there are no definite plans or itinerary; so I will defer to you: would you be interested in attending? If you did attend, about what would you be interested in discussing or learning? Should there be anything formal as part of this event? When do you think this event should occur?

I look forward to hearing your responses…

  1. I would do my best to attend. I would definitely be in favor of waiting until early fall to hold the event.

    1. The Atlanta area in the spring and fall has some of the best weather anywhere, RoloT.

The temperature in Atlanta is currently 94 degrees Fahrenheit; but with the humidity, it supposedly feels like the temperature is 101 degrees — not the best weather in which to meet…

…but that is a cold spell compared to tomorrow, when the temperature is expected to reach 97 degrees…

  2. Would love to meet some fellow Atlanta frequent travelers. Of course, the difficulty will be finding a time when we’re not all traveling somewhere! With most people’s busy schedules, a excursion might make it more challenging to get together, but I’m certainly not opposed to that. Anytime is fine – if you throw some dates out, if I’m in town, I’ll be there – simple as that. Thanks for suggesting it.

  3. And get MJ on board – in addition to your blog and Adam’s blog, I enjoy his take on things.

  4. I would definitely be interested! Live in Tampa but am up in Atlanta to visit family quite often… Hopefully the event could be held on a Fri/Sat and I could make the weekend trip!
