A sale may be a discount on the price required to purchase miles or points — or perhaps the frequent travel loyalty program from whom you are buying the miles or points will match your purchase up to 150 percent, which is another way of reducing the cost of miles or points.

Rather, they are compiled in this article — typically whenever a new sale is announced or an old sale expires — so that you can shop for miles and points from different frequent travel loyalty programs conveniently in one spot and compare the sales to what you want or need.
Note that you may get a different offer from some of the frequent travel loyalty programs than what are posted in this article — especially when the offer is touted as a “mystery bonus” or some other vague term.

Hilton Honors: 100 Percent Bonus Points
You can receive a bonus of 100 percent on any purchase of a minimum of 5,000 Hilton Honors points — up to a maximum limit of 240,000 Hilton Honors — but you have until the end of the day on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 to take advantage of this offer.
IHG One Rewards: 60 Percent Bonus Points
You have until the end of the day on Sunday, July 14, 2024 to take advantage of receiving a bonus of 60 percent on IHG One Rewards points with a minimum purchase of 5,000 IHG One Rewards base points and up to a maximum limit of 150,000 IHG Rewards base points for $1,500.00 — not including the bonus points.
Marriott Bonvoy: Up to 50 Percent Bonus Points
You can buy or gift a minimum of 2,000 Marriott Bonvoy points — up to a maximum total of 150,000 points — and get a bonus of up to 50 percent through Wednesday, July 24, 2024. The bonus is a mystery; so different members will receive different offers.
Wyndham Rewards: 35 Percent Discount
Starting with a minimum of 3,000 points, you can get a discount of 35 percent on your purchase of Wyndham Rewards points through Friday, August 9, 2024.
Air Canada Aeroplan: Up to 125 Percent Bonus Miles
In celebration of 40 years of Aeroplan, you can purchase or gift a minimum of 15,000 Aeroplan points and receive a bonus of up to 100 percent through Friday, July 19, 2024.
Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan: Up to 60 Percent Bonus Miles
The regular price for purchasing Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles is $27.50 per 1,000 miles; but until Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 11:59 in the evening Pacific Daylight Time, you can purchase a minimum of 3,000 miles and receive a bonus of up to 60 percent more miles as follows:
- Buy 3,000 to 19,000 Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles = 40 percent bonus Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles
- Buy 20,000 to 39,000 Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles = 50 percent bonus Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles
- Buy 40,000 to 100,000 Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles = 60 percent bonus Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles
American Airlines AAdvantage: Up to 35 Percent Discount
You can purchase or gift up to a maximum of 150,000 AAdvantage miles in order to receive a discount of up to 35 percent — for a cost of $3,668.44 for 150,000 miles — through the end of the day on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 as follows:
- Buy or gift 6,000 to 24,000 AAdvantage miles = 10 percent discount
- Buy or gift 25,000 to 79,000 AAdvantage miles = 15 percent discount
- Buy or gift 80,000 to 104,000 AAdvantage miles = 20 percent discount
- Buy or gift 105,000 to 149,000 AAdvantage miles = 25 percent discount
- Buy or gift 150,000 AAdvantage miles = 35 percent discount
Etihad Airways Etihad Guest: Up to 30 Percent Bonus Miles
Until Sunday, July 14, 2024, you can purchase a minimum of 25,000 Etihad Guest miles and receive a bonus of 30 percent with Etihad Airways as follows:
- Buy 25,000 to 49,000 Etihad Guest miles = 20 percent bonus
- Buy 50,000 to 100,000 Etihad Guest miles = 30 percent bonus
Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards: Up to 50 Percent Discount
Through Wednesday, July 31, 2024, purchase a minimum of 3,000 Rapid Rewards points and receive a discount of up to 50 percent.
United Airlines MileagePlus: Up to 85 Percent Bonus
Until 11:59 in the evening Central Daylight Time through Wednesday, July 31, 2024, you can purchase or gift up to a maximum of 108,000 miles and receive a bonus of up to 85 percent as follows:
- Buy 5,000 to 17,000 MileagePlus miles = 25 percent bonus
- Buy 18,000 to 39,000 MileagePlus miles = 55 percent bonus
- Buy 40,000 to 108,000 MileagePlus miles = 85 percent bonus
Final Boarding Call
Remember that each frequent travel loyalty program has partners through which you can redeem miles or points; so you are not confined just to the product offered by an airline or lodging company.
Also be sure to read the terms and conditions of each offer. Typically, all sales are final: once you have purchased your miles or points through these sales, you cannot return your points; and your money cannot be refunded.
