More Proof That Hertz Is Not a Soul-Less Company
…and yet, it was déjà vu all over again — yes, I realize that is as redundant as pizza pie — when I rented another car from Hertz recently from a different rental car facility, which too was upgraded to a Kia Soul. Aside from being a different color and having slightly more mileage on it, this car is identical to the other one.
One feature which I did not mention in the aforementioned article is the ability to just move the stalk on the left side of the steering wheel just slightly and let go, which causes the turn signal to blink three times — which may be useful for changing lanes; but it never was intuitive to me. Each time, I held the stalk in position until I changed lanes, as I have always done.
Summary
My opinions have not changed about the Kia Soul; but I was not unhappy to have one again to rent.
Considering that I paid $101.00 for the week — which is fewer than $14.43 per day; and that includes all taxes and fees — as well as earned Hertz Gold Plus Rewards points, I will take a Kia Soul for a rental car any day of the week under those terms and conditions…
…and I literally did.
