“D epending on the time of the booking and the dates of stay, discounted room rates will be available to HHonors members who book directly through a Hilton channel (HHonors app, website, phone, preferred corporate travel partners) at select hotels in New York, Miami, Houston and San Diego.”
This was a part of the e-mail message from my contact with Hilton Worldwide, who wanted to alert me that I “might see some discounted room rates on our websites, in our HHonors app and when you call HRCC for some hotels in a couple of markets over the next few months”, as they “frequently test new offerings and benefits as we always aim to provide the most value to our HHonors members.”
FlyerTalk members were also alerted of this information earlier today. “Saw it when checking hotels in NYC, it was around $6 off from regular price”, reported FlyerTalk member Richmond_Surrey.
“Thanks, yesterday I noticed a 5% discount rate at some Californian hotels and at many New York ones”, posted FlyerTalk member Sisosig. “Now I understand why it wasn’t showing up at all hotels.”
Expect more FlyerTalk members to report additional discoveries and amounts in the foreseeable near future.
Feedback and questions are certainly encouraged pertaining to what appears to be an intriguingly mysterious promotion where the discount is apparently discovered when researching or booking a stay.
I have no plans at this time to stay at any hotel properties in New York, Miami, Houston and San Diego— although that could always change at any time — but if you do and you plan on staying in a hotel which is part of the brand portfolio of Hilton Worldwide as a member of the Hilton HHonors frequent guest loyalty program, please report your discoveries in the Comments section below.
Thank you in advance.
