New benefits and an increased annual fee 2024 with the Hilton Honors American Express Business Card was announced earlier today, Thursday, March 28, 2024 — as well as a refresh of the design of the card; and some benefits that have been discontinued.

The following benefits will be discontinued:
- Complimentary access to airport lounges with Priority Pass Select will no longer be available effective as of Monday, July 1, 2024, as this benefit has been dropped
- The Free Night Reward benefit will be removed from your Hilton Honors American Express Business Card: Eligible purchases through Sunday, June 30, 2024 will count toward the Hilton Honors Free Night Reward benefit; and after Sunday, June 30, 2024, the Hilton Honors Free Night Reward benefit will no longer be available on your Hilton Honors American Express Business Card, and you will no longer be able to earn Free Night Rewards as a benefit of your Card
- You will continue to earn a total of 6X Hilton Honors bonus points for each dollar of eligible purchases through Sunday, June 30, 2024 at the following categories of merchants: U.S. gas stations and U.S. restaurants, U.S. Wireless telephone services, U.S. purchases for shipping, on flights booked directly with airlines or Amex Travel and on our car rentals booked directly from select car rental companies
Priority Pass Lounge Access No Longer a Benefit
Complimentary membership to the Priority Pass Select program will no longer be offered with the Hilton Honors American Express Business Card effective as of Monday, July 1, 2024.
You may still enroll in the benefit by calling the American Express customer service number on the back of your card through Sunday, June 30, 2024. If you enrolled in the Priority Pass Select program on or before Sunday, June 30, 2024, your Priority Pass membership will continue through Sunday, June 30, 2024 and will be cancelled as of Monday, July 1, 2024. If you enrolled in the Priority Pass Select program between July 1, 2023, and Sunday, June 30, 2024, your membership will continue through March 31, 2025 and will be cancelled as of April 1, 2025.
Any unused lounge visits with the Hilton Honors American Express Business Card will be forfeited at the time of cancellation.
Final Boarding Call
Unlike the changes with both the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card and the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card that were announced back on Thursday, October 19, 2023, I do not believe that the increase in the annual fee by $100.00 justifies the changes to the Hilton Honors American Express Business Card — especially as two significant benefits will be discontinued, which ultimately devalues the Hilton Honors American Express Business card overall, in my opinion.
As a disclaimer — other than what I typically earn from views of articles at The Gate With Brian Cohen and through affiliate links — I have received absolutely no compensation for anyone who signs up as a new cardmember for any of the Hilton Honors American Express cards.
