New to Marriott Rewards? Earn a Free Night After Two Paid Stays

If you are an existing member of Marriott Rewards, you are unfortunately not eligible to participate in this promotion.

The choice of 17 brands of Marriott International participating in this promotion are as follows:

How to Redeem Your Free Night Certificate

The free night you earn will be in the form of an electronic certificate, which will be automatically deposited into your Marriott Rewards membership account after you have successfully completed two qualifying paid stays within the promotion period.

You can either call 1-800-MARRIOTT and advise the reservation agent you will be using a Marriott Rewards Certificate when you book your reservation; or you can use the Internet to:

  1. Log onto the official Internet web site of Marriott to book your reservation
  2. Once the reservation is complete, the hotel or resort property will receive an electronic notice of your free night certificate
  3. You will receive a confirmation via e-mail message of your award reservation

Select Terms and Conditions

An eligible stay is defined as consecutive nights paying an eligible rate in the same hotel or resort property — regardless of the number of times you check in or check out of a hotel or resort property — and posting to your Marriott Rewards account.

The electronic certificate must be redeemed within one year from the date of issue. It is valid for one night for one standard room type only in connection with individual travel and may be used to pay for the expense of your room and related room taxes only — but it is not applicable to group travel, package tours, conventions or other special rates or package programs; and it may not be used to pay for food, beverages, service charges, other taxes or other incidental expenses.

The electronic certificate must be used by the member of Marriott Rewards who earned it; and it cannot be extended past its expiration date or re-credited for Marriott Reward points. It cannot be transferred and has no cash value.

You will not earn Marriott Rewards frequent guest loyalty program points for room charges or room tax covered by the certificate, which does not count toward elite status level membership.

You may use additional Marriott Rewards points to upgrade your room type, which is subject to availability. At participating Residence Inn by Marriott and TownePlace Suites by Marriott hotel properties, electronic certificates are for a studio or one bedroom.

Nights spent while redeeming an award are eligible for credit. All reservations are subject to Marriott Rewards redemption availability.

Other terms and conditions apply — including those of the Marriott Rewards frequent guest loyalty program.

If you are still not a member of the Marriott Rewards frequent guest loyalty program but have considered joining, now is the time to do so if you want to take advantage of a free night…

…and once you do join as a member, be sure to take advantage of promotions such as the current MegaBonus offer where you can earn 2,000 bonus Marriott Rewards points per stay beginning with your second stay when you stay at any participating hotel or resort property worldwide between Saturday, May 27, 2017 and Monday, September 4, 2017 — plus, earn an additional 2,000 bonus Marriott Rewards points for each new brand at which you stay, beginning with your second brand. That translates into a potential total of up to 4,000 Marriott Rewards points per stay.
