I noticed some rather ornate streetlights in Barcelona in Spain which lined along the Passeig de Lluis Companys. I watched people near the iconic Arc de Triomf while I walked on that promenade with my camera.

The highly decorative Catalan Art Nouveau lampposts were constructed of wrought iron in 1905.
The bases of the streetlights are comprised of stone and covered with pieces of white ceramic tile.
I was reminded of the equally embellished lampposts that I saw in an exclave of Oman.

I have always been illuminated with the fascination of streetlights and lampposts — although I am unsure as to what are the differences between the two.
