SkyMiles Medallion Elite Status Level Match Challenge: Now From More Airlines

I f you have earned elite level status with an airline other than Delta Air Lines, you can request to participate in the SkyMiles Medallion Status Match Challenge and qualify for comparable elite level status with the Medallion program — and if you submit your information and meet the criteria to participate, you will receive Platinum, Gold or Silver Medallion elite level status based on your current elite level status with the frequent flier loyalty program of another airline.

Your elite level status will remain valid for 90 days once your request has been processed.

SkyMiles Medallion Elite Status Level Match Challenge: Now From More Airlines

Once you complete the flight requirements, your Medallion elite level status will remain in effect through Wednesday, January 31, 2018; but in order to extend your Medallion elite level status after the initial period of 90 days, you will need to earn a specific number of Medallion Qualification Miles or Medallion Qualification Segments within 90 days of enrolling for the challenge.

The number of Medallion Qualification Miles or Medallion Qualification Segments required is based on your matched Medallion elite status level.

If you have earned elite level status with the frequent flier loyalty program of another airline not listed above, you may still be eligible for this challenge — simply submit your information to confirm eligibility.

Criteria for Participation in the SkyMiles Medallion Elite Status Level Match Challenge

In order to qualify for participation in the SkyMiles Medallion Elite Status Level Match Challenge, you must:

• Not received an elite level status match or complimentary Medallion elite level status during the past three years
• Not be a SkyMiles member who currently has Medallion elite level status
• Present valid and current elite credentials or a statement showing earned elite level status from the frequent flier loyalty program of another airline

Medallion Qualification Miles and Medallion Qualification Segments earned on flights operated by Delta Air Lines and Delta Connection will count towards this challenge; and may also be earned on flights operated by partner airlines which are eligible to earn Medallion Qualification Miles and Medallion Qualification Segments. Eligible partner airline activity prior to Wednesday, September 28, 2016 will be retroactively credited and apply to any active challenges.

A physical Medallion membership card will not be issued for the 90-day qualification period. You can access your membership card through the Fly Delta mobile software application program. During the 90-day period, you will not have access to all reciprocal Medallion benefits with partner airlines of Delta Air Lines — including access to SkyTeam lounges.

Members who are matched to Platinum Medallion Status will not be eligible for Choice Benefits until the flight requirements to maintain Platinum Medallion elite level status are met.

Through this offer, you may maintain the same or lower Medallion elite status tier as your matched status. For example, if you are matched to Silver Medallion elite level status, you will not be able to earn Gold Medallion elite level status through this offer.

Participation does not guarantee Medallion elite level status. Promotional or temporary elite level status on other airlines will not be eligible for this promotion. Matched elite level status will expire after 90 days, unless that level or a higher level of Medallion elite level status is awarded prior to that date. Medallion elite level status must be earned in subsequent years by traveling the required amount of Medallion Qualification Miles or Medallion Qualification Segments and — for SkyMiles members based in the United States only — spending the required amount of Medallion Qualification Dollars. Members who earn Platinum, Gold or Silver Medallion elite level status beyond the 90-day period through this promotion will be updated in the system within five business days of completion of required Delta or Delta Connection Medallion Qualification Miles or Medallion Qualification Segments. Members who complete the Status Match Challenge are ineligible for Rollover Medallion Qualification Miles unless they exceed the full year status qualification thresholds for that tier during the calendar year. For example, if you are matched Silver Medallion elite level status in 2016 and also earn 30,000 Medallion Qualification Miles and $3,000.00 Medallion Qualification Dollars in 2016, you will be able to roll over 5,000 Medallion Qualification Miles since the Silver Medallion requirement is 25,000 Medallion Qualification Miles and $3,000.00 Medallion Qualification Dollars.
