Whether partaking in wine, beer or spirits, imbibing in alcoholic beverages is part of a time-honored tradition of celebration for centuries — but some individuals can get substantially more than a little carried away.
Stupidly Drunk.
While people associated with ZorkFest 2018 — if you did not attend, you missed a really good time; and I missed seeing you there — were busy setting up a table for attendees of the Podcasters After Dark event to check in, another event was occurring in the next ballroom. Dressed to impress in suits and skimpy cocktail dresses with heels, boisterous male and female college students were having a loud celebration…
…but things started to go horribly wrong when one man was seated on a couch and continuously vomiting. Two male friends and one female friend attempted to console and help him; but there was not much which they could do.
Sadly, that couch was located just feet directly across the hall from the toilets. The man never made it. The carpet became the toilet that evening.
Thinking that the episode had concluded, the group eventually rejoined the rest of the party already in progress in the ballroom…
…only to have the man stagger back out of the ballroom minutes later; sit awkwardly in a chair out in the hallway; and vomit again. And again. And yet again — accompanied by unmistakably loud grunting and heaving sounds, of course.
He was eventually escorted down the hallway from the pair of chairs found in the upper left corner of the photograph shown above towards the aforementioned toilet — which would be in the direction of the camera on that night — leaving a trail of vomit in his wake.

Ironically, no alcoholic beverages were sold or served at the event.
Employees of the hotel property finally eventually cleaned up the mess — but not before people walked through it. Even one couple had unknowingly stood in it and started “making out”, with the guy wanting someone to document their torrid session with photographs.
Summary
Perhaps getting a buzz or some other feeling from having a drink can help to relieve stress, become less inhibited, and lead to more relaxation — but this guy took it way too far. Once a person drinks so much that he cannot handle it and adversely affects other people in the process while simultaneously endangering his health, that person becomes a significant problem. Instead of having a good time, some people were spending their party time attempting to help this man recover from what was an avoidable situation. Others were becoming disgusted at the sheer sight of him vomiting continuously.
I simply do not see a reason for a person to become so inconsiderate and irresponsibly drunk — but if he or she must do so, it should not be at the expense of others.
