I was able to select a seat assignment on a recent flight which was operated by Delta Air Lines. I wondered to myself if this is the best economy class seat aboard this airplane?
The Best Economy Class Seat Aboard This Airplane Operated by Delta Air Lines?
The seat is 21A aboard a Boeing 717-200 airplane operated by Delta Air Lines. The reason why it may arguably be the best seat in the economy class cabin is because no seat is directly in front of it to allow room for operation of the emergency exit if necessary. Plenty of leg room in this seat is the result.
Negative aspects of this seat include:
- The supports of seat 20B can impede some of the space
- The view from the window is partially blocked by the wing of the aircraft
- The tray table is located in the armrest rather than on the back of the seat in front of this seat
- The seat is not close to the exit where passengers leave the airplane
Final Boarding Call
Some passengers may find seat 20B to arguably be the best seat of the Boeing 717-200 airplane operated by Delta Air Lines solely because no other passenger can sit in that row on the left side of the airplane. That seat does not recline because it is located in an exit row.
Obviously, I prefer to sit closer to the front of the airplane. The first class cabin was already sold out for the flight when the reservation was booked…
…but I enjoyed the spacious leg room of seat 21A. If you are relegated to a seat in the economy class cabin of a Boeing 717-200 operated by Delta Air Lines and need room to stretch your legs, this seat is the one to choose.
