“It’s towels!” Christopher Nassetta — who is the current president and chief executive officer at Hilton — reportedly said dryly at the Fast Company Innovation Festival in New York on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. “It’s the quantity, how thick they are, all that.”
Would hair found in an otherwise clean towel count as part of the top complaint at hotel properties? Even worse: what if evidence of feces was on a towel in a hotel room?
Final Boarding Call
I must admit that I had experienced an inadequately low number of towels in hotel rooms in the past that would result in me requesting more clean towels. I have also experienced towels that seemed thin enough to be transparent and rough enough to rival sandpaper.
Perhaps Christopher Nassetta is not all wet about towels being the number one complaint at hotel properties. Perhaps my dry humor would help; but I already threw in the towel at this point, so it is a wash…
