This pass really helps me with road trips, as one of the more mundane parts of a road trip is getting to the point where it should begin — especially in states that are far away from where I am based.
This Pass Really Helps Me With Road Trips.
The pass to which I am referring is the GoWild Pass that is offered by Frontier Airlines, which I decided to purchase in January of 2026. As I have a flexible schedule, I am able to simply research for the destination that is the least expensive for the next day — which is usually as low as $15.41 per person one way with taxes and fees included — and I then rent a vehicle and start my trip.
Recent road trips this year include starting from Buffalo in New York and from Denver in Colorado, which combined allowed me to explore ten states in the United States and eight provinces in Canada which are nowhere near where I am based — and I intend to embark on more road trips this year.
To start those road trips from where I am based, I would either need to drive approximately 13 hours to Buffalo or greater than 20 hours to Denver. Those two trips combined would require at least five extra grueling days of driving round trip plus fuel plus nights in hotel properties…
…and when doing enough road trips from where I am based, I get too familiar with what is located within several hours — so the drive is not as interesting.

The GoWild Pass that is offered by Frontier Airlines is clearly not for everyone. Flexibility is key for the pass to work successfully and be useful…
…but it sure does help to pare away the most boring part of a classic American road trip and give those who encounter a road trip a good head start — and when used correctly, it does save time and money…
