I have stayed in plenty of rooms in hotel and resort properties which had poor views — such as this one in Canada and this one in Spain as two of countless examples — but the room in which I am currently staying in Glasgow in Scotland takes the title for the worst view from a hotel room that I have ever seen, as this view from a hotel room is even worse.
This View From a Hotel Room Is Even Worse.
The room in question is located on the fourth floor of the hotel property in the center of the city — meaning that it is actually five stories up as the first floor is called 0 — so I thought I would have a reasonably decent view from the room.
Instead, I get a view of an exterior wall of the building that I could easily reach if the window to the room opened enough. I could see some sort of view to the right side of the exterior wall.
What is the point of having window shades or curtains for the window for the purposes of privacy and to block light from the outside when this handy wall can do it all for you and then some?
Final Boarding Call
Bad views can be forgettable — or unforgettable, depending on how absurd and useless are the views…
…but I suppose bad views beat no view at all because the hotel room had no window with which to even look out and enjoy any sort of view, as I experienced in this hotel property in New Orleans…
