Trivia time: Oshawa is the largest municipality in the Regional Municipality of Durham in the province of Ontario in Canada; and it is located approximately 37 miles or 60 kilometers east of the city of Toronto. The name Oshawa originates from the term aazhawe of indigenous Ojibwa language, which means the crossing place or a cross.
