  1. This is simply bizarre or I don’t get the context. The article mentions “washroom”, which is a term used far more commonly in Canada than in the U.S. Yet “Does” is not a French word for “men” or “women”.

Doe is a term for a feminine bisexual woman so perhaps it’s a gay and lesbian bar where the “DOES” is the female washroom. Yet putting people of the same gender in a gay or lesbian establishment may be inciting temptation?

Short answer: “Does” is a very unusual word to use for a female rest room.

The alternative explanation is that it is an establishment frequented by attorneys who like to sue people, including those they have not yet identified or a Doe. For example: Smith v. Jones, Anderson, Does 1-10.

  2. Hmmm, I’ll take a stab at it. Is what’s wrong with the picture the fact that it says does but it is illegal to have live deer inside a restaurant?

  3. “Does” is the women’s restroom in hunting country (north/midwest). “Bucks” is for males.

Similarly, in coastal US the doors read :”Gulls” and “Buoys”.

    Yes, I’m that old.
