What Is Wrong With This Photograph? Part 306: Reader Edition

At what exit did this happen?

For this edition of this popular game, can you guess what you believe is wrong — or, at least, seemingly quite bizarre — with this photograph part 306?

Matthew Klint and I do not meet up in person often enough. I always enjoy our conversations; and we discuss everything travel — including miles and points, personal experiences on trips, and other media in the travel industry.

He posted the following photograph for this article at Live And Let’s Fly, which is his weblog. Astonishingly, he admitted that at least one of the things that is wrong with the photograph is “Of course that’s one thing I did not notice.” Matthew: you always tell me in person that you look forward to Saturday nights when another article in the What Is Wrong With This Photograph? series is published. How could you have missed this one?!?

Too much time has elapsed since we last saw each other, Matthew. Let’s get together again soon.

Answer to What is Wrong With This Photograph? Part 305

A press release announced yet another new brand by Hyatt Hotels Corporation called Unscripted by Hyatt on Friday, May 30, 2025. In addition to the lodging company possibly having more brands than properties, why would a logo called Unscripted have some letters with script in it?

The origin of the logo is apparently from a hotel property called Unscripted Durham.

Favorite answer by Jim F.: “It appears (from the press release itself) that the legal/official name of the new brand is ‘Unscripted by Hyatt’ (with a capital ‘U’) while the logo appears to begin with a lower case ‘u’. Why Hyatt chose to do this is unclear but is it less clear than why the oneworld alliance begins with a lower case ‘o’ (with ‘one” bold-faced, no less)? Also, just to be technical, the logo is comprised of some scripted letters and some — wait for it — ‘unscripted’!”

Favorite comment by jsm: “‘Unscripted’ has nothing to do with cursive writing, so why is the ad printed in such a manner. Unscripted means spoken/performed without a script, or impromptu. If Hyatt’s new brand is conducted in an ad lib manner, stay somewhere else.”
