After enjoying a day in Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay, we were on our way to the ferry to return to Buenos Aires when we observed this odd setup designed for easier egress for disabled individuals. Should not the universal symbol for disabled people be on the ramp instead of on the steps?
Favorite answer by derek: “The tactile walkway is sort of ok but it is for the low vision person, not the wheelchair using person. Wheelchairs have to use the path to the left.”
Favorite comment by Jim F.: “As for this week’s photo, what on earth could be ‘wrong’ with a wheelchair-marked paths having 2 big steps? Perhaps the anti-DEI campaign has hit Uruguay….”
