Answer to What is Wrong With This Photograph? Part 358
I enjoyed my recent visit to the state capitol building in Wyoming, which included interesting exhibits for visitors — but one presentation seemed off to me; and I am wondering if what I noticed is something that is actually wrong; or that perhaps I missed something: why does the year 1970 appear twice for information pertaining to the 1980s?
I thought that I was missing something primarily because every slide in the presentation was similar: for example, the year 1950 appears twice for information pertaining to the 1960s; and I could not imagine that someone approved such a glaring error.
Favorite answer by Jim F.: “OK, this is probably nitpicking…but why are events which happened in the ’80s (the energy bust and the national historic landmark designation) superimposed over a background with the year 1970? Nothing on the page photographed happened in 1970 (or even the 1970s).”
