Goldair Handling CIP Intra Lounge at Athens International Airport. Airport Lounge Review.

Photography is apparently not permitted in this lounge.

We decided to stop off in the Goldair Handling CIP Intra Lounge in Hall B at Athens International Airport while awaiting the boarding of an airplane for the departure of an early morning flight to Amsterdam.

The lounge was clean, brightly lit, and had many places to sit and relax. Large windows were on the side wall of the lounge; but outside was still dark while we were there. The entrance to the lounge and the front desk are seen on the left side of the photograph above.

Hot food items and assorted breads and condiments were located towards the rear of the lounge. I would have taken closer photographs of the food that was being offered there; but an employee of the lounge came up to me and admonished me for taking photographs, as doing so was not permitted…

…so before that happened, I took photographs of the counter near the entrance to the lounge.

Assorted hot coffees and teas — as well as accompanying condiments — were available.

Assorted dry cookies and jams were also on the counter…

…as were assorted dry sliced cakes, dried fruits, and nuts — as well as bottles of alcoholic beverages.

Cold beverages — such as bottled water, assorted sodas, apple juice, orange juice, tonic water, and bottled beer were available in the refrigerator below the counter.

Green apples, bananas, muffins, crackers, packaged cheese, and hot oatmeal from a crock were also on display — as were additional bottles of alcoholic beverages and hot drinks that were dispensed from two machines.

Final Boarding Call

Our experience was nothing extraordinary in any way — but the lounge was quiet; Wi-Fi was available; and it was a nice respite from the main part of the terminal at the airport. Although one can potentially fill up on a meal in this lounge, I did not care for most of the food that was offered, as I barely ate anything while I was there.

The Goldair Handling CIP Intra Lounge in Hall B at Athens International Airport is located airside after the security checkpoints in the main terminal building. The lounge is located in the Schengen Area of the departure hall on Level 1, opposite Gate B13; and is for both international and domestic Schengen Area flights only. The lounge is not accessible to passengers departing from Hall A and the Satellite Terminal. Smoking is not allowed in the lounge.

The Goldair Handling CIP Intra Lounge — which participates in the Priority Pass network of lounges — is open 24 hours per day; and guests can stay in the lounge for a maximum of three hours. Children younger that six years of age are admitted free of charge; but all children must be accompanied by an adult. All passengers must be traveling and hold a valid boarding pass in order to access this lounge.

This lounge can be contacted via telephone at +30 210 35 33852.
