You can now exchange Choice Privileges points with Radisson Rewards Americas points — which means that those points can now be redeemed at hotel and resort properties that are part of a larger portfolio of lodging brands.
Now Exchange Choice Privileges Points With Radisson Rewards Americas Points
The ratio of exchange is two Choice Privileges points to one Radisson Rewards Americas point — regardless of which direction the exchange occurs. This means that you can use your points from either membership program at hotel and resort properties of the following brands:

Choice Hotels International, Incorporated announced that its acquisition of the franchise business, operations, and intellectual property of Radisson Hotel Group Americas — which includes greater than 68,000 hotel rooms in 624 hotel and resort properties under nine brands in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean — for approximately $675 million was completed on Thursday, August 11, 2022.
Final Boarding Call
I am not sure why Choice Hotels International, Incorporated did not just fold the hotel and resort properties of the brands of Radisson into their portfolio, which would have been easier for members — especially members of the Choice Privileges membership program who currently do not have a membership account with Radisson Rewards Americas. Perhaps exchanging points between the two membership programs is merely a temporary solution until the companies are better integrated in the future?
While having the exchange rate at a simple ratio of one to one would have been easier and streamlined, the properties of Radisson Hotels Americas are arguably worth double the points of most of the brands of Choice Hotels International, Incorporated. The exchange rate almost seems like an admission by Choice Hotels International, Incorporated that their hotel and resort properties are worth only half as much as those that they acquired from Radisson Hotels Americas.
Whether the exchange of points resets the expiration date of those points is unclear at the time this article was written…
