County Road 98 is a rural road in Alabama that is located in Jackson County. The area was quiet on this warm autumn day — save for an occasional motor vehicle and a bird chirping.
Rural Road in Alabama. Sunday Morning Photograph.
A raggedy crack meanders roughly down the center of the road. It may have been caused by the heat that shimmered from the asphalt over the years. The sun can be intense in Alabama. Perhaps the seam was not properly sealed. Regardless, the scene intrigued me for some unknown reason.
