What Is This? Part 2.

This, by any other name, is still this.

Spring is still springing in full bloom in the northern hemisphere; and this article is the second of a mini-series of sorts — but it is no longer part of the Sunday Morning Photograph series of articles, as it will be its own series. Can you guess what is featured in the photographs? Read on to find out the answer to What Is This? Part 2.

The answer is the inside of a pink rose, whose color of petals range from rich dark pink during the budding stage to a bright yet pale pink when the flower first opens to a pink so pale that its color is almost white; while the leaves are a semi-glossy dark green.

My cursory research resulted in finding the name of this pink rose as Rosa ‘Bonica 82’ or Rosa MEIdomonac, which was supposedly created in 1982 and is a shrub whose flowers grow in clusters.

Final Boarding Call

Roses have typically been red and few other colors for many years; but these days, one can purchase roses of virtually any color. Rose bushes are even available with flowers of multiple colors.

Sometimes life — including travel — can be chaotic; so one must smell the flowers once in a while…
