Pass on this pass.

If you have wanted to fly as many flights as possible as a passenger on airplanes which are operated by Frontier Airlines, your dream may have come true, as the new GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Pass for 2023 is now officially on sale from the ultra-low-cost airline for the “low” price of $599.00 for the year…

…but you need to purchase your GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly-Pass by Thursday, November 17, 2022.

Initially touted in this article which was published here at The Gate on Monday, November 7, 2022, the all-new GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Pass from Frontier Airlines can supposedly turn your flexible schedule into unlimited travel. For $599.00 — which is a discount of the retail and renewal price of $1,999.00 per year — you will enjoy:

  • An unlimited number of flights
  • Access to all destinations served by Frontier Airlines, which is actually incorrect
  • Flights available greater than 300 days out of the year, which is actually incorrect
  • Complete flexibility, which is actually incorrect
  • Booked reservations confirmed ahead of travel, which is technically correct but quite restrictive
  • Twelve months of travel

Last year alone, five million seats flew empty with Frontier Airlines — so instead of them flying empty again this year, Frontier Airlines is offering the new GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Pass, with which you will be able to get confirmed for your flight the day before you take off on one of your limitless adventures beginning Spring 2023.

Only a limited number number of passes will be offered at the rate of $599.00 — but is that a good price for this pass?

Why You Should Not Purchase This Pass

Few people will actually derive full value from the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Pass from Frontier Airlines for the following reason, as the details reveal more of the truth than the initial announcement:

  1. The GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Pass cannot be used until Tuesday, May 2, 2023, which is almost six months away — so the airline gets to keep your money free of charge until then
  2. Each flight cannot be booked or confirmed until the day prior to departure
  3. Flights and seats are subject to availability; and last seat availability is not guaranteed
  4. Access is only available to destinations within the United States and Puerto Rico — meaning that destinations such as Montego Bay in Jamaica are not included
  5. Frontier Miles or elite status cannot be earned, as travel with the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Pass is not eligible
  6. Applicable taxes, fees, and other charges are not included
  7. A fare of one extra cent per flight segment booked will be charged
  8. Although travel can still be customized, no extra items — such as seat assignments or baggage allowances as two of many examples — are included, as they are available at an extra cost
  9. No fewer than 57 blackout days preclude passengers from traveling at the most popular times of the year — including:
    1. 2023: May 25, 26, 29; June 29, 30; July 1-5, 8, 9; August 31; September 1, 4; October 5, 6, 9; November 18, 22, 24-27; December 16, 17, 22-24, 26-31;
    2. 2024: January 1, 15; February 15, 16, 19; March 3, 10, 15-17, 22-24, 29-31; April 5-7, 12-14. Blackout dates for May 2024 and beyond will be posted in advance of accepting any enrollments for pass periods which cover those dates.
  10. The GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Pass will be automatically renewed for the following year and successive terms of one year thereafter — and a charge of $1,999.00 will apply, with no clear way to deactivate automatic renewal or cancel the pass altogether

Other details of the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Pass from Frontier Airlines include:

  • Flights must be booked at flyfrontier.com
  • You must be a member of the FRONTIER Miles membership program
  • Travel qualifies as activity and will extend the expiration of FRONTIER Miles
  • The GoWild! Pass cannot be transferred, as the pass holder is the only allowed passenger to travel with GoWild! Pass privileges

Additional terms, conditions, and restrictions apply.

Unless you are willing to deal with all of the terms, conditions, limitations, and restrictions of the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Pass from Frontier Airlines — and even then, many of them are out of your control — do not purchase this pass. You may likely be better off taking advantage of the low airfare sales which Frontier Airlines regularly promotes, which might actually save you money over the $599.00 needed to purchase this pass…

…and who knows what will happen to holders of the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Pass during irregular operations. I shudder at the very thought.

You can read about my experiences with Frontier Airlines through the following articles:

I have been selected to purchase the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Pass — but due to the disappointing details, I decided not to participate in this promotion, as I am not sure it is even worth half of the $599.00 purchase price.

In other words, I will pass on this pass…
