As thanks for their continued loyalty this season, members of the Hilton Honors frequent guest loyalty program who have earned Diamond elite level status will be able to gift elite status to another person of his or her choosing for one year; and the gifting period starts next week through Sunday, January 31, 2021.
All Hilton Honors Diamond Members May Gift Elite Status
The Elite Status Gifting benefit is typically reserved for members who complete a standard annual night requirement — but as an opportunity for one time only, this benefit will be extended to its global Diamond members and Lifetime Diamond members. For members who earned Elite Status Gifting through their nights earned in 2020, this offer is an extra opportunity to gift to someone new.

- Lifetime Diamond members will be able to gift Diamond elite level status

…and upon entering the holiday season, the team at Hilton Honors wanted to share at least eleven ways which members can take the best advantage of using their hard-earned elite status and points — as well as perhaps get some ideas for gifts — and the following list is just a sampling of a few easy ways to gift and earn this season using Hilton Honors:
- Earn 250 Hilton Honors bonus points simply by linking your Hilton Honors membership account with your Lyft membership account; and earn an additional 750 Hilton Honors bonus points on your first ride bonus for a total of 1,000 Hilton Honors bonus points — but you must link your membership accounts prior to completing an eligible ride operated by Lyft by Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 11:59 in the evening Eastern Standard Time. You may select a fixed amount of points which you would like to redeem in exchange for Lyft credits in increments ranging from ten dollars to $100.00 — which is perfect for gifting to friends and family.
- Enjoy a holiday meal: earn 5,000 Hilton Honors points simply by spending a minimum of $25.00 at a participating restaurant, bar, club, or other dining establishment within 30 days of joining as a member of the Hilton Honors dining program by Thursday, December 31, 2020
- Apply for the Hilton Honors American Express Card to give gifts to other people while earning points for yourself. New card members can earn a $100.00 statement credit after their first card purchase and 75,000 Hilton Honors bonus points after spending $1,000.00 in purchases on the card within the first three months. With the statement credit and 75,000 Hilton Honors bonus points, members could enjoy two nights at one of the mountain getaway properties used as an example later in this article — and still have points to spare! Plus, the $100.00 statement credit is received after the first purchase — including gasoline or road trip snacks — and can help offset part of the cost of any trip mementos. The Hilton Honors American Express Card and the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card allow Card Members to earn 5x or 6x Points for each dollar spent at U.S. supermarkets and U.S. restaurants, respectively. And the award-winning Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card allows Card Members to earn 7x Points for each dollar spent at U.S. restaurants. Card Members also earn 3x Hilton Honors Points for all other eligible purchases, meaning even more Hilton Honors Points to use towards a future trip when using a Hilton Honors American Express Card while shopping for holiday gifts.

Another useful tool is the official Hilton Honors mobile software application program. In addition to booking a stay with Points, the app provides guests with a contactless arrival experience — including access to Digital Check-In, Choose Your Room, and Digital Key at 5,000 Hilton properties.
- Give back to a favorite cause by donating Hilton Honors Points. The holidays are a great time to give back, and Hilton Honors members can donate to various accredited nonprofits on issues ranging from COVID-19 community relief to the environment to hunger. Upon linking their Hilton Honors and PointWorthy accounts, members can redeem Points to make a donation.
- Shop for gifts and holiday decor using Hilton Honors Points via Amazon Shop with Points. Members can choose to use Hilton Honors Points as payment when shopping at Amazon.com by simply linking their Hilton Honors account to their Amazon account.
- Rent a car using Hilton Honors Points for your holiday road trip. Whether a member needs quick access to wheels or is planning ahead for their holiday caravan, Hilton Honors members can cash-in Points to rent a car. Members can also use cash to rent a car through the Hilton Honors Online Portal and score savings, plus up to 20,000 Bonus Points.
- Give the gift of a future experience by redeeming Hilton Honors Points. Through an ongoing partnership with the world’s leading live entertainment company, Live Nation, Hilton Honors members can now connect their Hilton Honors and Ticketmaster accounts — Terms & Conditions apply — to redeem Points for tickets when live concerts and events return. Members can also use Points to gift unique memorable experiences, such as wine and spirit tastings or spa and wellness treatments on the Hilton Honors Experiences Platform.
- For those seeking a quiet and private space to wrap gifts, members can book a WorkSpaces by Hilton room for a day at participating hotels and receive exclusive member benefits. Members can also earn 10,000 Bonus Points when they complete a WorkSpaces by Hilton reservation before March 2021. Additionally, members can earn double Hilton Honors Bonus Points plus double night credits when they register and complete a stay before the end of the year through the Double Rewards promotion.
