Actually, Viagra, Cialis, and oysters. What is up with that?!?

In past articles in which your participation was not only requested but also helpful and humorous, I did not give the answers to questions which I have posed to you; so this article contains the answers to past articles — Part 36 — along with links to the aforementioned articles…

I have been to the state of Mississippi many times over the years; but I recently visited the city of Vicksburg for the first time — and as I was searching for a restaurant at which to dine, I came across this menu from Beechwood Restaurant & Lounge.

Considering that Vicksburg is a whopping 202 miles from the Mississippi Gulf Coast — which is world renowned for its fresh seafood — I suppose I can understand why one dozen select fried oysters would cost $2999 with the expensive cost of fuel to transport them.

Strangely enough, I understand that Beechwood Restaurant & Lounge is actually known for their steaks.

Favorite answer by Scot: “$2999 for fried oysters!”

Favorite comment by Thomas Richard Potter.: “yes, but they are ‘select’!!”

The downtown area of the city of Atlanta is home to many points of interest — such as Underground Atlanta, Centennial Olympic Park, Georgia Aquarium, Children’s Museum of Atlanta, Georgia World Congress Center, the National Center For Civil and Human Rights, CNN Center, a stadium and an arena, and many restaurants and hotel properties…

…but strangely, pedestrians are to walk downwards when in a crosswalk in Atlanta. That cannot be comfortable.

Favorite answer by Gary Steiger – FreeFrequentFlyerMiles.com: “They must be planning a stairway down into a subway system that hasn’t yet been built.”

Favorite comment by Travis Ferguson: “One tree is in full bloom whole the others are dormant!”

The wallop of winter weather since winter officially began with a vengeance on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 had wreaked havoc and caused so much chaos on travel in general in much of the United States and Canada — to the point where greater than 15,000 flights had been canceled and thousands more flights delayed — that it led to the issuance of a rare travel advisory from Allegiant Air.

When did Roanoke move from Virginia to Rhode Island? Also, I do not like the way winter storms are named by The Weather Channel, which is why I never refer to them in articles that are published here at The Gate With Brian Cohen.

Favorite answer by Sam: “Evansville is in Indiana.
“Midway is in Chicago.
“Roanoke is not in Rhode Island.”

Favorite comment by rmah: “choo-choo ain’t got no state? was its new year’s resolution to declare revolution…and independence?

The latest FIFA World Cup concluded in Qatar on Sunday, December 18, 2022; and only eleven days later, Edson Arantes do Nascimento died at 82 years of age on Thursday, December 29, 2022 due to a complication of colon cancer which resulted in multiple organ failure.

More popularly known as simply Pelé, the native Brazilian won the FIFA World Cup in 1958, 1962, and 1970; was a member of the New York Cosmos soccer team; and is considered to be one of the greatest football players of all time.

This article commemorates both the memory of Pelé and the Fédération Internationale de Football Association — which is the official name for FIFA — with a quiz that recently appeared at the official Internet web site of the American Association of Retired Persons, which is better known as AARP.

The question was: “Brazilian star Pelé is often associated with World Cup greatness, as he played in every tournament from 1958 through 1970 and his nation won three titles. How many World Cup goals did he score?” Four answers were available from which to choose:

  1. Viagra lasts longer.
  2. Cialis lasts longer.
  3. Viagra is stored at room temperature, whereas Cialis is stored in the refrigerator.
  4. There is no real difference.

You will be happy to know that the correct answer is that Cialis lasts longer, because those goals were scored in only 14 matches.

Favorite answer by gary rind: “AARP does it again! answers to a different question randomly show up although they’re not usually quite this amusing!”

Favorite comment by Jim F.: “Sure glad this question (and non-answers) didn’t show up on a college admission test!”

Vicksburg National Military Park is part of the National Park Service of the United States; and the photograph which is featured in this article was taken only mere yards into the park just beyond its entrance…

…but no pedestrian was ever found in the curve — at least when I was there.

Favorite answer by Israel Cohen: “If it really were a location where pedestrians cross the road, the sign would say ‘Pedestrian Crossing’ and there would be a white cross-walk painted on the road for pedestrians to use. At a National Park, one might expect a ‘Deer Crossing’ sign.”

Favorite comment by Dana Waite: “It appears that the fog line is on the left. Should be on the right. So sign should be on other side of curve and roadway.”
