When you stay at a Fairfield by Marriott hotel property as a member of the Marriott Bonvoy frequent guest program, you would typically earn ten base points and an elite night credit per qualifying night — except that you earn only 5 points per night at this one Fairfield Inn hotel property and one elite night credit per two qualifying nights.
Earn Only 5 Points Per Night at This One Fairfield Property
That hotel property is the new Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn, according to section 1.2.a.xxiii.A.(1) of the latest revision of the terms and conditions of the Marriott Bonvoy membership program, which occurred earlier this month:
xxiii. Fairfield® by Marriott – all locations except for:
A. Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn participates in the Loyalty Program as follows:

(2) Redeem Points as described in Section 3.
(3) Members received benefits as defined in Sections 1 and 4 except for the following: Members will be awarded one (1) Elite Night Credit for every two (2) Qualifying Nights for each Qualifying Stay completed.

Final Boarding Call
The change in the terms and conditions was pointed out to me by a reader of The Gate With Brian Cohen. The reasons why the Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn — which is scheduled to open on Monday, January 22, 2024 — is the lone exception to the terms and conditions pertaining to the Fairfield by Marriott brand in general is unknown at the time this article was written.
The lesson to be learned here is to check the terms and conditions of the Marriott Bonvoy membership program on a regular basis to review how the latest revisions and exceptions to the program may affect you in the future.
In fact, Marriott Bonvoy is certainly not the only membership program that is revised regularly without giving any notice; so be sure to check the latest revisions and exceptions to other frequent travel membership programs on a regular basis as well.
