“I don’t even know how to title this” is the name of this discussion started by FlyerTalk member yohanson, who granted me permission to repost the photographs in this article; and I have never seen anything like this in all of my years of traveling, but it appears that a man has decorated his seat in the first class cabin aboard an airplane with Christmas lights.
“They are currently boarding my SEA-MSP flight and 1B strings xmas lights all around his seat and has a mini xmas tree”, posted yohanson. “An older lady has already snagged her shawl on it and drug the string back to the 4th row.”
Having Some Fun
FlyerTalk members are having some holiday fun with this one. “Just when you think you’ve seen it all” quipped FlyerTalk member enviroian. “I’d be afraid to be next to that guy on a plane come Halloween time.”
FlyerTalk member MSPeconomist wondered “What about the Fourth of July? Would he try to bring his own fireworks to use on board?”
Summary
I am not going to string you along on this enlightening topic; but if you are wondering whether or not the lights were left strung around the seat for the duration of the flight, yohanson reported that once the airplane pushed back from the gate, “he gathered everything up and put everything away.”
Thank you, yohanson, for spreading some holiday cheer and allowing me to use your photographs in this article.
Merry Christmas.
