The Marriott Bonvoy and Uber partnership will be updated effective as of Monday, October 14, 2024 — including the ability to book rides with Uber Reserve in the official mobile software application program of Marriott Bonvoy during your stay — but the earning of Marriott Bonvoy points with Uber Eats has decreased.
Marriott Bonvoy and Uber Partnership Updated 2024
Marriott Bonvoy has officially collaborated in partnership with Uber since Spring of 2021, which allows Marriott Bonvoy members to earn points toward free nights at a minimum of 34 hotel brands in greater than 10,000 destinations worldwide when requesting select Uber rides and ordering food and groceries from eligible merchants on Uber Eats.
After linking your Marriott Bonvoy membership account with your Uber account, you can earn Marriott Bonvoy points on qualifying Uber Eats orders and select Uber rides both at home and wherever your travels take you.
For each dollar spent on all qualifying transactions in the United States only — after promotions and discounts; and excluding taxes, fees, and tips and gratuities — you will earn, as applicable:
- 3 Marriott Bonvoy points per dollar on the following Uber Premium rides:
- Uber XL
- Uber Black
- Uber SUV
- Uber Comfort
- NEW 2 Marriott Bonvoy points per dollar on UberX Reserve rides.
- UPDATED 1 Marriott Bonvoy point per dollar when you place eligible food or grocery orders for delivery on Uber Eats.
- UPDATED 2 Marriott Bonvoy points per dollar when you place an eligible food or grocery order for delivery on Uber Eats at Residence Inn, TownePlace Suites, and Element Hotels.
Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite Status is available to subscribers of the Uber One annual plan.
The following earnings with Uber Eats will no longer be in effect as of Monday, October 14, 2024, as they have been replaced by the aforementioned new earnings of Marriott Bonvoy points with Uber Eats:
- 6 Marriott Bonvoy points per dollar on orders of a minimum of $40.00 which are booked by using Uber Eats delivered to Marriott Bonvoy hotel and resort properties
- 2 Marriott Bonvoy points per dollar with a minimum of $40.00 on all other orders booked by using Uber Eats
Select Terms and Conditions
A maximum of only one Marriott Bonvoy account may be linked to a Uber account. A maximum of only one Uber account can be linked to a Marriott Bonvoy account.
You must be a member of the Marriott Bonvoy membership program in order to take advantage of this partnership. You can join now free of charge if you are not yet a member.
You cannot be credited with Marriott Bonvoy points for Uber rides which occurred prior to linking your accounts. You must first link your accounts prior to your next eligible Uber ride in order to receive credit.
Please allow up to eight weeks from completion of the qualifying transaction for the 1,000 bonus points to appear in your Marriott Bonvoy membership account.
Other limitations, guidelines, restrictions, terms, and conditions — including those of this promotion; of the Marriott Bonvoy frequent guest loyalty program; and of the Uber ride sharing service — apply; and are subject to change.
Final Boarding Call
Although this partnership between Marriott Bonvoy and Uber is great news if you have always wanted to earn Marriott Bonvoy points while using ground transportation, you should still compare alternatives if you are sensitive to price, as Uber will not always be the least expensive option.
