Sometimes you need an infusion of miles or points to your membership account for whatever reason — perhaps to have enough to redeem for a limited time award as one example — and the best time to purchase or gift miles or points is when they are on sale, as with this miles and points on sale for Friday, June 9, 2023.
Miles and Points On Sale — June 9 2023
A sale may be a discount on the price required to purchase miles or points — or perhaps the frequent travel loyalty program from whom you are buying the miles or points will match your purchase up to 150 percent, which is another way of reducing the cost of miles or points.

Rather, they are compiled in this article — typically whenever a new sale is announced or an old sale expires — so that you can shop for miles and points from different frequent travel loyalty programs conveniently in one spot and compare the sales to what you want or need.
Note that you may get a different offer from some of the frequent travel loyalty programs than what are posted in this article — especially when the offer is touted as a “mystery bonus” or some other vague term.

Choice Privileges: Up to 25 Percent Discount
You only have until Sunday, June 18, 2023 to take advantage of receiving a discount of up to 25 percent on your purchase of Choice Privileges points with a minimum purchase of 8,000 Choice Privileges points in one transaction — and the maximum amount of points which you can purchase this year is 180,000 points as follows: when you purchase…

Hilton Honors: 100 Percent Bonus Points
You can receive a bonus of 100 percent on any purchase of a minimum of 5,000 Hilton Honors points — up to a maximum limit of 160,000 Hilton Honors points for $1,600.00, which is $0.005 per point when factoring in the bonus points — but you have until the end of the day on Saturday, July 8, 2023 to take advantage of this offer.
Marriott Bonvoy: Mystery Bonus
You can buy or gift a minimum of 2,000 Marriott Bonvoy points — up to a maximum total of 100,000 points — and get a bonus of up to 50 percent through Sunday, July 2, 2023. Moreover, members may purchase an additional 100,000 points annually while booking a stay at a hotel or resort property through the reservation path on Marriott.com.
Air Canada Aeroplan: Up to 50 Percent Discount
Until the end of the day on Saturday, June 17, 2023 — you can purchase or gift a minimum of 4,000 Aeroplan points and receive a discount of up to 50 percent as follows:
- Buy 4,000 to 29,000 Aeroplan points = 30 percent discount
- Buy 30,000 to 59,000 Aeroplan points = 40 percent discount
- Buy a minimum of 60,000 Aeroplan points = 50 percent discount
Air France and KLM Royal Dutch Airways Flying Blue: Up to 100 Percent Bonus Miles
Sharing the Flying Blue frequent flier loyalty program are Air France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Transavia, Aircalin, Kenya Airways, and TAROM — plus, you can redeem Flying Blue miles for flights operated by many partner airlines. Until Sunday, June 11, 2023, you can purchase Flying Blue miles and receive a bonus of up to 100 percent more miles — Flying Blue members who have earned elite status may purchase up to 300,000 miles per transaction before the bonus is added; while other members may purchase a maximum of 100,000 miles — as follows:
- Buy 4,000 to 10,000 Flying Blue miles = 50 percent bonus Flying Blue miles
- Buy 12,000 to 22,000 Flying Blue miles = 70 percent bonus Flying Blue miles
- Buy a minimum of 23,000 Flying Blue miles = 100 percent bonus Flying Blue miles
American Airlines AAdvantage: Up to 35 Percent Discount
You can purchase or gift up to a maximum of 150,000 AAdvantage miles in order to receive a discount of up to 35 percent — for a cost of $3,668.44 for 150,000 miles — through the end of the day on Friday, June 30, 2023 as follows:
- Buy or gift 5,000 to 54,000 AAdvantage miles = 20 percent discount
- Buy or gift 55,000 to 149,000 AAdvantage miles = 25 percent discount
- Buy or gift 150,000 AAdvantage miles = 35 percent discount
Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards: Up to 50 Percent Discount
Through Tuesday, June 20, 2023, purchase a minimum of 2,000 Rapid Rewards points and receive a discount of up to 50 percent bonus Rapid Rewards points.
Final Boarding Call
Remember that each frequent travel loyalty program has partners through which you can redeem miles or points; so you are not confined just to the product offered by an airline or lodging company.
Also be sure to read the terms and conditions of each other. Typically, all sales are final: once you have purchased your miles or points through these sales, you cannot return your points; and your money cannot be refunded.
I have purchased miles and points on rare occasions — and if you need to do so from the aforementioned frequent travel loyalty programs, now is the right time.
