A sale may be a discount on the price required to purchase miles or points — or perhaps the frequent travel loyalty program from whom you are buying the miles or points will match your purchase up to 150 percent, which is another way of reducing the cost of miles or points.

You only have until Friday, May 17, 2024 to take advantage of receiving a discount of up to 30 percent on your purchase of Choice Privileges points with a minimum purchase of 6,000 Choice Privileges points in one transaction — and the maximum amount of points which you can purchase this year is 180,000 points as follows:
- Buy 6,000 to 11,000 Choice Privileges points = 15 percent discount
- Buy 12,000 to 23,000 Choice Privileges points = 20 percent discount
- Buy 24,000 to 180,000 Choice Privileges points = 30 percent discount
Hilton Honors: 100 Percent Bonus Points
You can receive a bonus of 100 percent on any purchase of a minimum of 5,000 Hilton Honors points — up to a maximum limit of 240,000 Hilton Honors — but you have until the end of the day on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 to take advantage of this offer.
IHG One Rewards: 80 Percent Bonus Points
You have until the end of the day on Saturday, June 8, 2024 to take advantage of receiving a bonus of 80 percent on IHG One Rewards points with a minimum purchase of 5,000 IHG One Rewards base points and up to a maximum limit of 150,000 IHG Rewards base points for $1,500.00 — not including the bonus points.
Air Canada Aeroplan: Up to 85 Percent Bonus Miles
Until the end of the day tomorrow, Saturday, May 11, 2024, you can purchase or gift a minimum of 15,000 Aeroplan points and receive a bonus of up to 85 percent.
Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan: Up to 60 Percent Bonus Miles
The regular price for purchasing Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles is $27.50 per 1,000 miles; but until Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11:59 in the evening Pacific Daylight Time, you can purchase a minimum of 3,000 miles and receive a bonus of up to 70 percent more miles as follows:
- Buy 3,000 to 19,000 Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles = 40 percent bonus Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles

American Airlines AAdvantage: Up to 35 Percent Discount
You can purchase or gift up to a maximum of 150,000 AAdvantage miles in order to receive a discount of up to 35 percent — for a cost of $3,668.44 for 150,000 miles — through the end of the day on Friday, May 31, 2024 as follows:
- Buy or gift 5,000 to 54,000 AAdvantage miles = 20 percent discount
- Buy or gift 55,000 to 149,000 AAdvantage miles = 25 percent discount
- Buy or gift 150,000 AAdvantage miles = 35 percent discount
Emirates Airline Skywards: 30 Percent Bonus Skywards Miles
You can enjoy a bonus of 30 percent on the purchase or gifting of a minimum of 5,000 Emirates Airline Skywards miles
through Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 11:59 in the evening Gulf Standard Time or 3:59 in the afternoon Eastern Daylight Time
Only members of the Skywards frequent flier loyalty program who have had any previous activity in their membership accounts can purchase miles.
JetBlue Airways TrueBlue: 75 Percent Bonus Points
The end of the day on Friday, June 28, 2024 is the last day on which you can purchase a minimum of 3,000 TrueBlue points and receive a bonus of 75 percent with JetBlue Airways.
Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards: Up to 50 Percent Discount
Through Wednesday, May 15, 2024, purchase a minimum of 3,000 Rapid Rewards points and receive a discount of up to 50 percent.
Virgin Australia Velocity: Up to 35 Percent Discount
You can receive a discount of up to 35 percent on Velocity points through Wednesday, May 15, 2024 when you purchase a minimum of 1,000 Virgin Australia Velocity points as follows:
- Buy 1,000 to 25,000 Velocity points = 10 percent discount
- Buy 26,000 to 79,000 Velocity points = 15 percent discount
- Buy 80,000 to 119,000 Velocity points = 25 percent discount
- Buy 120,000 to 250,000 Velocity points = 35 percent discount
Final Boarding Call
Remember that each frequent travel loyalty program has partners through which you can redeem miles or points; so you are not confined just to the product offered by an airline or lodging company.
Also be sure to read the terms and conditions of each offer. Typically, all sales are final: once you have purchased your miles or points through these sales, you cannot return your points; and your money cannot be refunded.
