A new Kimpton hotel property to open in Orlando in early 2027 will be eleven stories tall with 261 rooms — and it will be located adjacent to the Kia Center arena as part of the new mixed-use sports and entertainment development of Westcourt that will offer a variety of expansive experiences for visitors and locals alike.
New Kimpton Orlando Hotel to Open in Early 2027
The new Kimpton Orlando will become the seventh hotel property of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants to operate in the state of Florida. It will feature greater than 16,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, which will provide guests with customizable options to ensure that every event is truly memorable. Additional social touchpoints include a full-service restaurant and lobby bar, a cafe, and pool bar and pool lounge. As with all Kimpton hotel properties, the Kimpton Orlando will also feature such benefits as Kimpton Kickstart morning coffee and tea service, Kimpton Social every evening, a “Forgot It? We’ve Got It!” program, in-room yoga mats, and policies that are friendly to pets.
Kimpton has entered into a new partnership with JMA Ventures and Machete Group to develop the first location of the boutique luxury brand of the portfolio of IHG Hotels & Resorts in Orlando. “This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Westcourt’s commitment to offering guests the most-elevated hotel stay directly in the heart of downtown Orlando”, according to this official press release from IHG Hotels & Resorts. “Situated on an eight-acre site bounded by Church Street to the south, Division Avenue to the west, Central Boulevard to the north, and Hughey Avenue to the east, Westcourt will integrate 265 best-in-market multifamily rental units atop the hotel. The project will also feature up to 300,000 square feet of office space and a 120,000 square foot retail offering dedicated to providing best-in-class dining and entertainment. Additionally, there will be a 3,500-capacity live event venue, multiple meeting spaces and a 1,140 space parking garage. Guests staying at the new Kimpton Orlando will also appreciate Westcourt’s 1.5 acres of outdoor common areas, perfect for enjoying the Florida sunshine.”
One of the nicknames of Orlando is “The City Beautiful”, as it is known worldwide not only for its entertainment and theme park options; but also for its 140 parks and 100 lakes nearby. One of the most popular lakes in Orlando for paddleboat rides and walking paths is Lake Eola, which will only be a convenient ten minutes to walk from the new hotel property.
Final Boarding Call
I recently had the opportunity to experience my first stay at a Kimpton hotel property; and I would certainly stay at a Kimpton hotel property again in the future…
…perhaps the new one in Orlando?
