I did not realize that I had additional photographs which continued the saga of the angry penguin on Barrientos Island in the South Shetland Islands off the coast of Antarctica confronting a pair of south polar skuas.

Where we last left off in this gripping tale, a gentoo penguin successfully scared off one of the south polar skuas.
After starting to walk off triumphantly but still angry, the penguin then stopped and noticed the other south polar skua.
As we had to return to one of the zodiac boats soon to head back to the ship, I did not wait out this latest confrontation between them.
Legend has it that to this day, the penguin and the south polar skua are purportedly still embroiled in a contest in which either entity refused to budge first.
Final Boarding Call
Trivia time: In addition to eating the eggs and chicks of penguins, south polar skuas eat mainly fish — which is often obtained by robbing the catches of terns, gulls, and even gannets. South polar skuas also are known to eat other birds, rabbits, and carrion.
