As spring 2024 is in full swing, now is a good time to stop and smell the roses in Georgia — or in just about any location in the northern hemisphere.

Many varieties of roses are available, with just about any color you could want.
Meanings of colors of roses can be interpreted as:
- Red — Love, passion, and admiration
- White — New love and innocence
- Lavender — Unique love, enchantment, or wonder
- Yellow — Friendship and joy
- Cream — Thoughtfulness and charm
- Green — Good news, abundance, new beginnings, or growth
- Blue — Mystery and uniqueness
- Black — Mourning, change, chic style, or courage
- Orange — Energy, fascination, or desire
- Burgundy — Devotion
- Peach — Sincerity, gratitude, and thanks
- Purple — Infatuation and passion
- Ivory — Grace and charm
- Salmon — Desire and excitement
- Pink — Elegance and sweetness
- Light Pink — Innocence and appreciation
- Medium Pink — Congratulations, grieving, or gratitude
- Deep Pink — Gratitude
- Rainbow — Uniqueness, hope, and pride
- Multiple Colors — Multiple meanings

Roses can be quite plentiful and very fragrant — but watch out for those thorns. Every rose has its thorn. That could be poison.
