I unintentionally visited six continents within one year without even thinking about it — and had I realized that I was doing that, I would have possibly tried visiting the seventh continent during that year.
Six Continents Within One Year. Unintentionally.
The six continents that I visited within the past year are in the following order:
- North America
- Australia
- South America
- Antarctica
- Europe
- Asia
The only continent to which I have not visited within the past year is Africa.
This article was first published while I was in Asia — and the realization of my unintentional quest occurred to me prior to departing for that trip.
One thing which prevented me from visiting seven continents within one year was that the trip to Antarctica occurred at the last minute — and because it happened towards the end of the year with trips to Europe and Asia already planned after that, planning a trip to Africa within such a short timeframe would have been both difficult and expensive.
Final Boarding Call
Had I known that I was working towards this goal, I would have tried my best to squeeze Africa within the past twelve months…
…but then again, I suppose doing so would have been little more than bragging rights — but it would have been pretty cool, in my opinion…
