Depending on the state in which you are located in the United States, you may have an incentive waiting for you if you have not yet been vaccinated against the 2019 Novel Coronavirus — ranging from a hamburger to up to one million dollars.
Vaccination Incentives: One Million Dollars; Hamburger Eaten by Mayor of New York in Video
The current governor of Ohio announced an incentive to legal residents of the state: a series of statewide drawings — similar to a lottery of sorts.
“Ohioans under the age of 18 who are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine will be entered into a drawing for a four-year full scholarship to any of Ohio’s state colleges and universities, including full tuition, room, and board”, according to this official press release from Mike DeWine. “Ohioans aged 18 and older will be entered into a weekly drawing with a prize of up to $1 million.”
A total of five weekly drawings for each prize will occur, with the first winners being announced on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. Winners must have received at least one dose of a 2019 Novel Coronavirus vaccine by the date of the respective drawing.
West Virginia will offer a savings bond worth $100.00 to each person between the ages of 16 and 35 years old who chooses to receive a vaccine against the 2019 Novel Coronavirus. “The incentive will be retroactive, meaning all West Virginians age 16 to 35 who have already been vaccinated will also receive a $100 savings bond”, according to this official press release from Jim Justice, who is the current governor of West Virginia. He “went on to say that the goal is to get over 70% of West Virginia’s eligible population vaccinated. Of the 1.47 million West Virginians who are currently eligible, just 52% have received at least one dose to date, with demand for vaccines dipping in recent weeks.”
Meanwhile — in what may be considered one of the creepier videos you might have seen in a while — the current mayor of New York promotes an incentive of a hamburger and French fries from Shake Shake by eating the meal during the video.
For some reason, Bill de Blasio eating the hamburger reminds me of Jon Stewart — who is the former host of The Daily Show — demonstrating the proper way to eat a slice of New York pizza. If you want to know how — and, more importantly, how not — to eat an authentic New York pizza, just take a look at this hilarious video from Jon Stewart when he still hosted The Daily Show in 2011:
If you would rather have a frankfurter than a hamburger, you can get one for free at the original Nathan’s Famous in Coney Island.
If you needed another reason to get vaccinated, here you go! 🌭 https://t.co/d1Ex68Cn8v

You can also get a free beer in the state of New Jersey; a free drink in Connecticut, a free drink at a bar in Illinois has been proposed; and a choice of a free fishing or hunting license, a wildlife park or state park pass, a $20.00 L.L. Bean gift card, or an admission ticket to see the Portland Sea Dogs baseball team or the Oxford Plains Speedway races in Maine.
Summary
If you do not qualify for the aforementioned incentives for getting a vaccine for the 2019 Novel Coronavirus, perhaps you may qualify for one of the following incentives with official proof of vaccination:
