Luxor Temple was constructed as early as 1392 BCE; and along with Karnak Temple, it was one of two primary temples on the east bank of the Nile River — and I had the pleasure of experiencing this ancient complex prior to sunset, which created some interesting opportunities with lighting on the sandstone structures.

I have yet to post trip reports of my experiences at both Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple — I have plenty of photographs to accompany both future articles — but greater than 3,400 years after their construction, a few more years since I visited is like the proverbial drop in the bucket and should not matter all that much when I finally write them.
