The following text has been copied verbatim from an e-mail message that I received earlier today, Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from Etihad Airways:
To our Etihad Guest members
Brian, over the past weeks, some of our flights have experienced disruption due to recent airspace restrictions. Your relationship with Etihad means a great deal to us, and in moments like this, it is important that we stand behind that relationship.
For this reason, we are reducing the tier qualification requirements by 25%, making it easier for you to progress to the next tier when you are ready to travel again. Your journey with Etihad Guest should continue to move forward, with greater flexibility and ease.
Our network is steadily returning to normal operations, and we look forward to welcoming you on board again soon.
