…but you must electronically submit your claim with a valid claim no later than Monday, October 6, 2020 using this form; and you must be a legal resident of the United States in order to be a member of the class action lawsuit settlement.
The plaintiffs claimed in a consolidated class action lawsuit pending against Apple that a performance management feature diminished the performance of some of the affected devices. Apple denies all allegations and is entering into this settlement to avoid burdensome and costly litigation. The settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing by Apple.
The models of iPhone which were affected by the performance management feature — as well as the operating systems which were introduced to them — include:

If you have any objections to the settlement, you must mail your objections or notice of intent to appear at the final approval hearing so that they are received no later than Monday, October 6, 2020.

Summary
If you do decide to participate in this settlement, completion of the claim form supposedly will consume only a few minutes of your time; but do not expect any major windfall, as you will not exactly get rich from this settlement — expect up to $25.00 per eligible device — but that may be better than nothing at all.
