In past articles in which your participation was not only requested but also helpful and humorous, I did not give the answers to questions which I have posed to you; so this article contains the answers to past articles — Part 46 — along with links to the aforementioned articles…

According to Hertz, the Suzuki Swift is anything but an economy car, as one mile per gallon for its fuel economy is not all that efficient — or economical, for that matter.

Favorite answer by Julene myton: “1MPG on the compact car is a bit low”

Favorite comment by rmah.: “this photo has nothing wrong! it is telling us all to cycle with no need for gallons, just atp molecules in our leg muscles!”

The sign proclaims that the moving walkways will take passengers to gates B1 through B12 — but gate B1 does not exist at Denver International Airport

…and the reason why no people are seen in the photograph is because the photograph was taken during the overnight hours. The photograph was not digitally manipulated.

Favorite answer by Greg: “In addition to the signage depicting some gates which do not exist at the Denver International Airport, and directing patrons in the direction opposite to those labeled that do exist, this digital photograph is also missing the presence of a single human being. Quite a feat for the UNITED gate at its Denver hub. Perhaps instead of building new gates, the airport can consider more creative scheduling during the times it appears the concourse is entirely empty.”

Favorite comment by Jason Say: “The people above are saying it’s wrong because the sign says B1-12 and the visible gates are higher. But that’s correct as the walkway drops you off PAST those gates (B18-B13) to the next interchange what then stops at Gate B12, so the sign is correct.

“So, then what’s the real error? Since the sign is above the moving walkway, it’s 100% correct for if you got on there trying to go B16 seen on the side, you’d come out past it.”

a map of the united states

For some reason, National Harbor in Maryland is apparently located somewhere on Long Island in New York, according to a map of the locations of the brand of Gaylord Hotels.

Come to think of it, Aurora is not exactly located that far east in Colorado; and Nashville is further south in Tennessee where it is depicted on the map.

Favorite answer by derek: “I wonder if the person that prepared the map is an ex-USAF bomber crew kicked out for not being able to bomb targets accurately.

“Instead of National Harbor, Maryland, the dot is placed over either NYC or Greenwich, CT.

“Aurora, CO is too far east.”

Favorite comment by Serene: “Nashville is not in Chattanooga, MD as others mentioned”

a display of vegetables in a store

Jalapeño peppers are in a cardboard bin labeled cucumbers at a place in the supermarket where avocados are advertised at 59 cents each.

I suppose that as long as the fruit or vegetable is green, the names are interchangeable. That is not too confusing.

Favorite answer by Jim F.: “C’mon…let us see the white price sign cut off at the left edge in the top photo. If it reads, ‘Avocados…$.59’, then we just need to cut the produce some slack for the artistic license demonstrated in their display. Of course, it’s still mildly interesting that jalapenos, Roma tomatoes, and avocados are ALL displayed in cucumber boxes. And there’s “that” shopper who left her/his bag containing 2 avocados in the jalapeno pepper box….”

Favorite comment by rmah: “i never knew there were so many varieties of cucumbers or concombres. and if a coupon is digital, is it still clippable? regardless, i’m enjoying guacamole as i type this two minutes before 2024!! have a super duper one brian!!”

Nothing was wrong — arguably, anyway — with the BoardingArea Internet web site. Rather, Marriott was spelling out in tis advertising about a good morning. Gauranteed.

Favorite answer by gary r: “since the word gauranteed is not part of the English language, we can’t be held responsible for whatever it means!”

Favorite comment by Jaime R: “Whimsical Whyndham!”
