A lone bighorn sheep was literally at the edge of the main road southeast of Conata Basin Overlook in Badlands National Park in South Dakota, simply minding its own business…

…and the bighorn sheep caused quite the traffic jam, as drivers simply stopped their vehicles in the road. Fortunately, our rental car was safely parked at the edge of a parking lot nearby.
I maintained a safe distance so as not to disturb the hungry bighorn sheep who was grazing…
…but unfortunately, some selfishly greedy people were woefully unaware of their surroundings and carelessly approached too close to the bighorn sheep, which startled the animal and caused him to quickly bound towards the hills, which frustrated and angered other people who were unable to get the photographs and videos that they wanted — and as for me, the photographs that are featured in this article are significantly better than the photograph I took of two bighorn sheep walking along the road near the Columbia Icefield in Jasper National Park in Alberta in Canada, in my opinion.

Trivia time: Badlands National Park now serves as a home for approximately 250 out of the 80,000 bighorn sheep which currently exist in the United States.
